- Development and pre-registration - advising on the registrability of a design including pre-registration clearance searches for both UK and Community registrations.
- Registration - drafting and filing design right applications and processing registrations in the UK and European Union.
- Monitoring – watching services to monitor design applications in the UK and Europe.
- Portfolio management – maintaining registration records, recording assignments and licences, notification of renewal dates and carrying out renewals.
- Unregistered designs – filing and evidence of unregistered designs to prove existence of priority rights.
Portfolio enhancement
- Portfolio audit service – conducting design searches to establish the designs a client owns and advise on unregistered rights and registrability.
- Exploitation – design licensing and commercialisation and the sale of designs by way of assignments.
- Invalidity - filing for invalidity claims.
Defending rights
- A contentious service that takes action to enforce clients’ rights and defends them against unjustified third party actions.
