I have particular experience advising clients on trademarks, licensing issues, as well as on the protection, commercialisation and management of brands and domain names.
I have been involved in giving a number of seminars and workshops on intellectual property related matters. I regularly write articles for the firm’s newsletters.
I am a member of the Law Society and the Thames Valley Commercial Lawyers Association.
The majority of my clients are in the information, new media and service sectors. In particular, I manage a large brand portfolio for the Trader Media Group. I have also successfully pursued domain name complaints through the Nominet Dispute Resolution procedure and most recently have pursued a complaint through the Czech Arbitration Court to successfully recover a key .eu domain name for one of our clients.
I studied Law with French Law at Leicester University and as part of my degree spent a year studying French law at Université Jean Moulin III in Lyon. I then spent a year at the College of Law Guildford for my Legal Practice course followed by 6 months travelling around the world. I completed my training contract at Gateley Wareing (now HBJ Gateley Wareing) in Birmingham, qualifying in 2003. I joined Boyes Turner in May 2005 when I decided it was time to return to my roots back in Berkshire.
Living in Ascot, I enjoy running and cycling in Windsor Great Park. I also love travelling and have visited a number of countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Brazil and Argentina. More than anything though I enjoy a good day shopping followed by a nice meal with friends.
